About The Role

Exciting opportunity for a Support Worker based in our supported housing service at The Limes 

At Saha, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive, good quality housing services, support and resettlement for people who are or have recently experienced homelessness and who are in need of support and accommodation. As a Support Worker, you will need to:

  • Get to know and build the trust of our clients
  • Help clients to live independently
  • Encourage participation in social and leisure programmes
  • Support residents with the practicalities of everyday living
About the Service

The Limes is a 26 unit supported accommodation service for young males aged 18-25 years old, clients who live at our service come from a variety of backgrounds/circumstances including relationship breakdowns, leaving care, rough sleeping or refugees. At The Limes we seek to provide a warm, respectful and supportive environment for clients. We want every young person who walks through the door to feel that The Limes is their home from Day 1. Staff aim to support and encourage the young men throughout their stay/journey with us as they move towards independent living.

About You

A Support Worker will instinctively share Saha’s delivery values and behaviours, loving your work, helping people to thrive and always finding a way to be effective.

You will need to:

  • Be a confident and capable communicator, not fazed by difficult situations
  • Be able to build trusting, professional relationships and have a high level of resilience.
  • Take an asset-based approach to empowering people to develop their skills, strengths and talents.
  • Have good knowledge or experience of working with homeless people, and / or supporting vulnerable people or groups,
  • Understand or learn about community resources and organisations that can help our clients
  • Able to be flexible with working hours to accommodate a working Rota in conjunction with the needs of the service and team members
