Salvation Army Homes

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Neighbourhoods Manager to lead our Neighbourhood Management service and support the delivery of excellent customer outcomes across our communities.

Reporting to the Head of Housing, you will provide leadership and direction to a team of Neighbourhood Managers, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality housing management services. You will oversee service performance, support colleagues with complex tenancy, anti-social behaviour and safeguarding cases, and drive continuous improvement across the service.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced housing professional who is passionate about customer service, people leadership and creating thriving communities.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead, manage and develop a team of Neighbourhood Managers.
  • Drive service performance across tenancy management, ASB, arrears and estate management.
  • Provide support and guidance on complex and high-risk cases.
  • Monitor service standards and implement improvements where required.
  • Manage customer complaints and escalations.
  • Build effective relationships with residents, local partners and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements.
  • Contribute to strategic service development and organisational objectives.

What you’ll bring

You will have:

  • Significant experience within housing or neighbourhood management.
  • Proven experience of leading and developing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of tenancy management, ASB, safeguarding and housing-related legislation.
  • Experience of managing performance and delivering service improvements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach.

Working Arrangements

This is a hybrid leadership role that combines home-based working with regular travel across our operational regions and schemes.

As a Senior Neighbourhood Manager, you will provide leadership, support, and oversight to Neighbourhood Managers while maintaining a visible presence within our communities. The role requires regular travel to schemes, team locations, and meetings to support service delivery, performance management, resident engagement, and partnership working.

As travel is an essential requirement of the role, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable (or the ability to travel efficiently across the region).

Our Offer

In return, we offer a competitive and supportive benefits package, including:

  • 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 31 days
  • Car Allowance
  • Westfield Healthcare Cash Back Plan (including cashback for optical, dental, therapies, plus 24/7 GP access and counselling support)
  • Matched pension scheme up to 6% (with salary sacrifice option)
  • Enhanced family leave from day one, including enhanced maternity/adoption and paternity pay
  • Occupational sick pay
  • Financial support options, including season ticket loans, emergency loans, mortgage advice and wellbeing support
  • Paid volunteering days
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Discounted private medical insurance
  • Support to learn, broaden your skills and develop your career
  • A fun and inclusive work culture where individual differences are valued and championed

Closing date: 21 September 2026 (please note we may close the vacancy early if we receive a large volume of applications)
